Registered Nurse – Aged Care

What You’ll Do: As a Registered Nurse, you will act as a clinical consultant and team leader, overseeing the delivery of high-quality personal and clinical care to residents. You will be responsible for clinical assessments, care planning, incident management, documentation, medication administration, and coordinating the wider care team.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a clinical consultant and team leader for personal and clinical care matters
Monitor and maintain high standards of health and personal care for residents
Conduct accurate assessments, develop care plans, and ensure timely, high-quality care delivery
Coordinate and oversee care delivery in accordance with individual care plans
Manage clinical incidents and ensure timely referrals where required
Encourage residents and their representatives to participate in care planning and decision-making
Maintain effective communication with residents, families, staff, and other stakeholders
Coordinate and monitor accurate and effective clinical documentation
Manage resident admissions and discharges
Provide complex clinical care and administer medications as required
Monitor residents' responses to treatment and escalate concerns appropriately
Uphold residents' rights and ensure compliance with relevant standards
Coordinate clinical observations and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented
Support continuous improvement initiatives and activities
Maintain a strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation requirements
What You Bring:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing
Demonstrated experience in a residential aged care setting
Strong understanding of aged care regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
Ability to maintain a safe and high standard of clinical practice
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong clinical judgement and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
