Registered Nurse – Aged Care

Location: Sydney, NSW

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $90k–$95k/year + superannuation

The organisation operates multiple residential aged care facilities across metropolitan Sydney and has built a strong reputation for providing person-centred care within supportive community environments.


What You’ll Do: As a Registered Nurse, you will act as a clinical consultant and team leader, overseeing the delivery of high-quality personal and clinical care to residents. You will be responsible for clinical assessments, care planning, incident management, documentation, medication administration, and coordinating the wider care team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a clinical consultant and team leader for personal and clinical care matters

  • Monitor and maintain high standards of health and personal care for residents

  • Conduct accurate assessments, develop care plans, and ensure timely, high-quality care delivery

  • Coordinate and oversee care delivery in accordance with individual care plans

  • Manage clinical incidents and ensure timely referrals where required

  • Encourage residents and their representatives to participate in care planning and decision-making

  • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, staff, and other stakeholders

  • Coordinate and monitor accurate and effective clinical documentation

  • Manage resident admissions and discharges

  • Provide complex clinical care and administer medications as required

  • Monitor residents' responses to treatment and escalate concerns appropriately

  • Uphold residents' rights and ensure compliance with relevant standards

  • Coordinate clinical observations and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and activities

  • Maintain a strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation requirements


What You Bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing

  • Demonstrated experience in a residential aged care setting

  • Strong understanding of aged care regulatory requirements and accreditation standards

  • Ability to maintain a safe and high standard of clinical practice

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong clinical judgement and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
