Registered Nurse – Residential Aged Care

Location: Merrylands West, Sydney NSW (On-Site)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $80k–$100k/year + salary packaging

What You’ll Do: As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality clinical care to elderly residents, ensuring their health, safety, and wellbeing are maintained to a high standard. You will manage care planning, medication administration, wound care, clinical support, and collaborate with the wider care team to deliver person-centred outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality care plans and assessments and provide comprehensive nursing care to elderly residents

  • Administer medications safely and provide best-practice wound care and clinical support

  • Support health promotion and illness prevention through education and wellness initiatives

  • Communicate clearly with residents and their families regarding treatment and care

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and care team members to coordinate resident care

  • Supervise and support the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care

  • Participate in handovers to ensure continuity of care across shifts

  • Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, accreditation standards, and quality requirements

  • Work night shifts as required by the roster and operational needs


What You Bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)

  • Bachelor degree or higher qualification in nursing

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a relevant setting

  • Strong clinical knowledge and evidence-based nursing skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, resident-focused approach

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and high standards of care

  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency

  • Current National Police Check
